The day started for most at 6am. We all meet at the fire house around 6:30am. We arrived at the Burlington County Fire Academy around 7am excited about the days up coming events. This was the third annual Explorer/Junior Firefighters competition held in Burlington County. This year there were 10 teams from several fire companies participating. They each had 5 scenarios to complete while being judged for teamwork, skill, safety and knowledge. There were judged by a group of Fire Chiefs from all over the state using a point system. All the teams and advisers did an outstanding job. Many new friends were made and alot of respect gained by all. Through a lot of teamwork and dedication our team was able to come in first place again, second year in a row. Congrats to all of them and all the participants in the days events. A special thanks to all the advisers, judges and the ESTC for making the day possible. Looking forward to next year.
